Commission Contract

Scope & Revisions

Each commission brief defines the scope in writing. Two rounds of revisions are included per milestone. Additional revisions or scope changes are billed at the studio's current hourly rate.

Timeline

Production timelines are negotiated per brief. Standard outfit commissions run 4–8 weeks; full-tech rebuilds and studio-tier work run 8–16+ weeks. Delays caused by late client feedback extend delivery proportionally.

Deliverables

Final delivery includes game-ready compiled assets (.FBX, .BLEND, .UNITYPACKAGE as applicable), textures, and integration notes. Source files (raw sculpts, substance graphs, proprietary rigging setups) stay with the studio unless a buyout is negotiated up front.

Intellectual Property

  • Client owns rights to use the delivered assets within the scope agreed (personal use, specific game project, etc.).
  • Studio retains the right to show the work in its portfolio and reels unless an NDA is in force.
  • For studio-tier commissions, IP terms are negotiated per contract.
// 06

Payment & Refunds

Accepted methods

PayPal · Wise · Crypto (BTC / ETH / USDT, case-by-case).

Deposit

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a production slot and begin work. The remaining 50% is due on final delivery.

Refund policy

  • Digital goods (mods, Patreon content): sales are final.
  • Commission work: once the production phase starts, no refunds are issued. If the studio cannot deliver for any reason on our side, the deposit is fully refunded.
  • Cancellations before production begins refund any amount paid minus a 10% admin fee.
// 07

Privacy Policy

The site does not run third-party analytics, advertising, fingerprinting, or behavioural tracking. Connection metadata (IP, user agent) is logged at the CDN level (Netlify) for security and rate-limiting purposes only.

What we collect via the contact form

The contact form at /contact uses Netlify Forms to capture:

  • Name, email, inquiry type, budget tier (optional), subject, message.
  • Timestamp and submission IP (for spam prevention).

Submissions are emailed to the studio and retained only as long as needed to respond and archive the conversation. You may request deletion at any time via hello@echokitsune.art.

What we do NOT collect

  • Browser fingerprints, device IDs, cross-site identifiers.
  • Location beyond what's inferrable from IP at CDN level.
  • Any social-media or advertising pixel data.

Data sharing

No data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties. Contact-form submissions are processed by Netlify (hosting) and delivered to the studio's email provider — both as infrastructure processors, not independent controllers.

// 08

Cookies & Storage

The site uses only browser-local storage, no cookies:

  • localStorage['echo-theme'] — remembers your light/dark/system preference.
  • sessionStorage['ek-visited'] — skips the intro loader on subsequent page loads within the same tab session.

Clear your browser's storage for this origin to reset both. No tracking, no consent banner needed.

Takedown / DMCA

If you believe anything on this site or in a published mod infringes on your rights, send a written notice to hello@echokitsune.art with:

  1. Description of the allegedly infringing content and its URL / file.
  2. Description of the work you claim is being infringed.
  3. Your contact information.
  4. A statement of good-faith belief.
  5. Your physical or electronic signature.

Valid notices are acted on within 14 days.

Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Master F.A.Q.

[ SYS_01 ] Business & Workflow
Can I request the original source files (Blender / Substance)? +

No. To protect the studio's proprietary workflows and manual sculpting techniques, delivery is final compiled game-ready assets only (.FBX, .BLEND, .UNITYPACKAGE as applicable). Source-file buyouts can be negotiated at studio-tier commission pricing.

Do you rely on auto-generation tools like Marvelous Designer? +

No. Every piece of armor and clothing is 100% hand-sculpted and manually retopologized in Blender. The studio keeps absolute control over geometry flow to guarantee performance and precise edge loops without relying on automated mesh calculations.

How long does a commission take? +

Outfit-only commissions run 4–8 weeks. Full-tech rebuilds (outfit + SMP + custom shaders) run 8–12 weeks. Studio R&D partnerships are scoped per contract (usually 3+ months).

[ SYS_02 ] Pipeline & Engineering
Are you capable of executing a full AAA character pipeline solo? +

Yes. The workflow spans the entire lifecycle: concept interpretation, high-poly manual sculpting, efficient retopology, PBR texturing, rigging and weighting, to final engine integration (custom shaders and physics logic). This has shipped one mobile title already (Echoes of Glory) and continues on Surreals / Zero Punk.

How do you approach Bone Physics and Cloth Simulation? +

The approach is Art-Directed Physics — not generic free-floating simulation.

In Modding (Skyrim): physics are intentionally programmed and bounded to maintain the aesthetic silhouette, while being heavily optimized to run smoothly across varying PC hardware specs.

In Unity (Game Dev): depending on the visual target, multithreading handles complex dynamic systems, or specialized physics stepping (the 60/30/15/0 technique) mimics stylized anime framerate and drastically reduces CPU load.

What engines and DCCs do you ship in? +

Blender for all modeling/sculpting/rigging. Substance Painter for PBR. Unity HDRP for real-time rendering (primary engine). Skyrim's Creation Engine for mod work. Experience with Unreal on collaboration basis.

[ SYS_03 ] Modding Architecture
Do you support custom body types like CBBE, 3BA, or BHUNP? +

Yes. Public mods natively support advanced body frameworks. For private commissions, outfits can be custom-rigged and weight-painted to conform precisely to your specific sliders without clipping.

Can I translate your mods and upload them? +

Translations are welcomed. Upload the translated .ESP only, and require users to download the original meshes/textures from the official Echo Kitsune NexusMods page.

Can I use your mods in a streaming / content-creator setup? +

Yes, on personal streams / YouTube videos — a credit caption or pinned link when the outfit is prominent is appreciated. For paid brand-partnership content, reach out for a specific clearance.

[ SYS_04 ] Commercial & Collaboration
Can I use your assets in a commercial game? +

Public mod assets are strictly non-commercial. Commercial use requires a separate commission license. Contact studio@echokitsune.art with project scope.

Do you take studio R&D partnerships? +

Yes — primarily character pipeline, HDT-SMP cloth systems, stylized HDRP shaders, and performance optimization. Contact the studio inbox with your target platform and problem space.

Is my commission data kept private? +

Yes. Briefs, references, and in-progress builds are treated as confidential by default. Portfolio / reel use is opt-in — if you'd prefer the work stay off the public site, say so in the brief and it will be honored.
